Yanni's is the best Greek food I've had in Seattle. The restaurant is a neighborhood gem!

**vegetarian review** Will start my review in reverse. Such good food and service!!! I am definitely coming back and bring more of my friends here. I got the pikilia dip- the 5dip platter and the vegetarian mousaka. The dips were wonderful and there was a good proportion of the pita. The deep fried pita was so good. The main was quite a portion, I could only eat half and packed the rest. I got the roasted potato side and those were so good! I loved this dish. We also did the baklava icecream. What a genius idea. So so delicious. The place is so pretty as well and we were not being rushed during our meal which was quite nice.

I called in a pick-up order from Yanni's. Easy ordering, timely pickup time, nice staff. This was my first time inside and it was beautiful! I love the decor and ambiance of the space; I'd love to dine in soon. The food was delicious. We ordered dolmas, lamb gyro burger, and falafel gyro. Everything was so flavorful and had a thoughtful flair from the red onion on the dolma to the HUGE dollop of hummus on the gyro. Delish!!

I recommend this restaurant, even though I recently had a disappointing dinner experience here. it was probably due to a misunderstanding of my request for a vegan meal, a busy night, and a new waiter. I was with friends, and didn't want to make a complaint at the time. But later, when I did contact the restaurant, they were most gracious and made a huge effort to make it up to me... tenfold. And I love the flavors of the food...

The braised vegetables served with the lamb chops and the moussaka at Yanni's were fresh, and beautifully cooked, but bland. The dressing on the Greek salad lacked salt. The loin lambchops were tough and over-cooked, but flavorful, again lacking salt. No salt was on the table. The absence of salt means everything lacked flavor that could be developed by adding it while cooking. The lack of flavor was disappointing, given the excellent service, comfortable if basic wooden chairs, pleasant decor, and freshness of the food. I won't hesitate to return, but next time I will remember to bring my own salt,

Have been looking for authentic Greek food in Seattle and stumbled across yannis. The only place I've found that has moussaka. Tried a variety of menu items. I had the beef moussaka and was not disappointed, super yummy! We also tried the dolma and I had a Greek salad as my side dish. My friend tried the lamb slouvaki & the lamb was super tender and flavorful. Was super full at the end but got some bougatsa to go, it came out warm so of course I tried a bite before leaving. Also the wait staff was super nice! Overall love love love this place and will come back for my Greek food fill.

4.5 but rounding up! The service was great, our waiter was super friendly and helpful. Ambiance was also nice, lots of plants and had a white/blue scheme that was nice and seemed authentic. As for the food: Chicken Krasati-- this was my favorite dish, it was very tasty. The combination of the artichokes and mushrooms and the slightly tangy sauce was a great combo. Saganaki Cheese: This was good, only thing that could have been better is the cheese separated from the oil immediately. Not sure if this is an authentic way to eat this but I've had it at other restaurants and it hasn't been an issue. Spanakopita Bites (not sure what exactly these were called, they were a nightly special): these were tasty, but they could have been crispier.

Delicious, authentic Greek food in a homey atmosphere! -Lamb Souvlaki ($23) - perfectly grilled lean lamb pieces, with roasted veggies, pita, tzatziki, and a side -Saganaki ($11) - impressive presentation, the flambe it right in front of you! Creates a delicious, melty, crispy cheese eating experience. -Spanakopita/Tyrokopita ($13) - Comes in a trio, delicious and flaky! -Tzatziki Dip Appetizer ($9) - The tangiest, most garlicky Tzatziki I have ever tried. -Falafel Sandwich ($14) - Solid! Great, hearty falafels. -Beef Mousaka ($22) - creamy and amazing topping, perfectly silky eggplant and saucy beef base Staff was very polite. Great experience all around!
